On fatigue life prediction of Al-alloy 2024 plates in riveted joints

چکیده

The purpose of this paper is to numerically investigate the fatigue life and crack growth path 2024 aluminum plate riveted joints. For purpose, according field observations, parameters affecting are obtained. Relevant geometric such as rivet shank length, hole diameter dimensional tolerances, well location pattern rivets material joints studied. In study, modeling performed calculate equivalent plastic strain using finite element method. a three-dimensional elastoplastic model used for simulation. information obtained from method in study made it possible place type joint use high safety structures aerospace industry. Given importance problem plates, having geometrical physical problem, goal achieve exact Fatigue simulation on samples boundary stress intensity factor different loading modes determined results showed that have significant effect cracking plates.
